Troubleshooting: TimeStick and TimeStick Trio

Here are answers to the questions our Tech Support team is asked most often about the TimeStick and TimeStick Trio.

Which battery does my TimeStick (or TimeStick Trio) use?

It uses one, CR2032 (3V) lithium coin cell battery.

When I set my TimeStick Trio’s timer, it starts the countdown and then suddenly, the screen will go blank before coming back as all 0s.  It’s like the timer is resetting itself.  Sometimes, it resets during the countdown; Sometimes, it resets as the alarm goes off.

These symptoms typically indicate that the battery needs to be changed. If changing the battery does not solve the problem, please contact our Tech Support team to receive additional help.

When I set the topmost timer of my TimeStick Trio and press Start/Stop, the entire display flashes as the timer emits one stifled-sounding chirp. Then the entire timer displays all 0s.

Replacing the battery usually solves these issues.  If  a new battery doesn’t work, please contact our Tech Support team to receive additional help.

My TimeStick Trio countdown works, but after a few beeps the LCD goes blank and the beeping stops.

My TimeStick Trio does not respond appropriately, if at all, when the buttons are pushed. The screen goes blank for no apparent reason and pressing buttons for a single timer causes erratic responses in multiple timers.

A low battery can cause these symptoms. Changing it for a brand new battery should help.  If it doesn’t, please let our Tech Support team know. They will be glad to assist you.

My TimeStick doesn’t seem to work any more. The battery was dead for a long time, so I replaced it. Afterwards, the timer beeped and the display turned on. Seconds later, the display went dark.

You’ll want to make sure that the replacement battery you use as a replacement is a brand new CR2032 battery. If a new battery doesn’t help, please contact our Tech Support team for assistance.

At end of a countdown cycle, my TimeStick occasionally beeps once before switching to the clock mode.  A couple of times, it switched to clock mode during the countdown cycle.

The symptoms you are describing are typically signs of a low battery and changing the battery should resolve the issue. If replacing the battery doesn’t fix it, please contact our Tech Support team.
