When is my account charged for the order?

When you place your order, your payment method provides ThermoWorks with a preauthorization. This preauthorization indicates that you have enough credit or money in your account to pay for the order. No money is charged to your card or withdrawn from your account at this time. It is only when your order is fulfilled (ships), that the money is taken from or charged to your account.

Note: If you cancel your order before we have shipped it, you will not receive a refund as we have not received any funds yet (so there is nothing to refund). Any changes you may see to your account are merely preauthorizations and will drop off on their own.


 

What happens after I press the Place Order button?

  1. After you press the Place Order button, your chosen payment method provider provides ThermoWorks with a preauthorization.
  2. The order then moves to the Pending status, allowing it to be manually checked by a ThermoWorks employee.
  3. Following their approval, it moves to the fulfillment process.
  4. Your payment method account will be charged once your order is packed by our Fulfillment team.

 Payment Types Available

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover Card, PayPal, Apple Pay, and GooglePay.

Note: In order to use Apple Pay, you must be using Safari or Firefox with the Apple Pay add-in installed.
